Mexico Partnership Services is able to assist researchers to request funds from Mexican corporations and government or international research entities that offer financing opportunities to Mexican entities.
Considerations to Apply
A Texas A&M University researcher must request the application from the call for proposals.
Mexico Partnerships Services can apply as a private company. It cannot apply as a research center because it does not have the physical structure and personnel to develop research. It cannot apply as a higher education institute because Mexico Partnerships Services does not provide academic services.
Texas A&M University’s colleges or departments can develop the services referred to at the call only if the call permits subcontract services and does not restrict the management of the funds exclusively within Mexico.
If the call restricts the management of the funds exclusively within Mexico, then only staff hired in Mexico can develop the services. Mexico Partnership Services office can hire staff in Mexico who are selected by the Texas A&M researcher.
Process to Apply
Mexico Partnerships Services:
- if needed, will get the information of the call for proposals, and translate it into English for the Texas A&M researcher.
- will review the conditions of the call to determine if Mexico Partnership Services is eligible to apply. The corporation can only apply as a private company, not as an institution of higher education or as a research center.
- will assemble the grant application for the researcher, gathering all requested Mexican legal documents and will attaching the proposal developed by the Texas A&M researcher.
- will deliver a digital or physical folder with the documents to the Mexican institution which launched the call and wait for the results.
- will notify the Texas A&M researcher about the decision and comply with the requirements to sign the contract with the entity that launched the call.
Managment of Grants
Mexico Partnerships Services provides the following services to manage the funds gotten by a call, as needed:
- Opening of bank accounts exclusively to manage the funds of the call
- Hiring of services
- Hiring of personnel
- Rent spaces
- Purchase of office or research equipment
- Keep fixed assets inventory control in collaboration with project leaders.

- Complying with labor and tax obligations for the activities developed
