Signature Events

Each year, Global Engagement brings the campus together through a series of signature events that celebrate culture, connection, and global leadership. These experiences create opportunities for learning, networking, and cultural exchange, empowering Aggies to engage meaningfully with the world and strengthen Texas A&M’s global community.

Signature Events

Global Welcome Party

Held each September, the Global Welcome Party draws over 4,000 participants to welcome international students, scholars, interns, faculty, and education abroad returnees with music, dancing, cultural performances, food, games, prizes, and community connections.

International Education Week

International Education Week (IEW) is a national celebration each November that aims to promote the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. Explore events highlighting languages, cultures, foods, and educational opportunities.

Global Engagement Symposium

The Global Engagement Symposium is held in September each year for faculty, advisors, students, and professionals interested in international education, collaboration, and innovative strategies for advancing global learning opportunities.

Education Abroad World Fair

With hundreds of programs traveling to every continent around the world, the Education Abroad World Fair allows you to conveniently explore abroad programs all in one place. This is a free, day-long event that is held in September each year.

Global Aggie Medallions

The Global Aggie Medallions are free graduation regalia for any graduating student who has participated in international activities or interacted with our office in a meaningful way. Medallion pick up events are held each spring, summer, and fall during the week of graduation.
