About

The Aggie Global Guides (AGGs) program is designed for students passionate about global experiences and cultural exchange. AGGs promote Global Engagement programs by sharing their global perspectives, fostering cross‑cultural connections, and encouraging peers to explore international education. Through leadership, mentorship, and community‑building opportunities, AGGs support fellow students—both those interested in studying abroad and international students and scholars seeking community at Texas A&M. Participants develop their global leadership skills through peer interaction, specialized intercultural leadership training, and meaningful experiences that prepare them to thrive as active citizens in a multifaceted, multicultural world.

Qualifications & Benefits

What AGGs Are Saying

When I first joined the AGG program, my goals were to use my experiences studying abroad to promote cultural exchange within the student body. The beauty of experiencing different cultures and broadening your understand of the world was something I wanted other Aggies to experience. Not only have I accomplished this goal through my time in the AGG program, but I gained a diverse community of friends and mentors, enhancing my own experience here at Texas A&M.

Alianne E.

(2025-2026)

I first heard about the AGGs program during my study abroad to Iceland, and after such an amazing trip, I knew I wanted to give back to Global Engagement. AGGs has helped me grow in so many ways - as a leader, a communicator, and intercultural learner. From international prom nights to music festivals, the program challenges its members to think creatively and act collaboratively, while having tons of fun in the process. It’s made my time at Texas A&M all the more cherished and impactful.

Govind N.

(2023-2026)

I was drawn to AGGs because it brought international and domestic Aggies together into a shared space. It created real, lasting connections and a strong sense of camaraderie while giving us room to explore culture and identity together. AGGs showed me a side of Aggieland that I wouldn’t have found otherwise, and it made the campus feel smaller, more connected, and more welcoming— all while making new friends and learning about the world around me.
