D/S Final Rule Changes Start September 15
A final rule that significantly changes the federal regulations for F and J statuses was published by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. These changes will start September 15, 2026. ISSS has developed detailed courses in Homebase to explain the upcoming changes. Failure to educate yourself about these changes may lead to serious immigration consequences. Because of this, completion of the D/S course is mandatory for all F-1 and J-1 students (even if you have already graduated) and J-1 Scholars and Student Interns.
