Texas A&M University has been recognized by the U.S. Department of State for producing 10 recipients of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship for the spring 2026 application cycle.

This is awarded to U.S. undergraduate students who excel in academics and have limited financial means to study or participate in internships abroad. Aggies selected showcase a wide range of academic disciplines and will travel across the globe to continue their studies. Award amounts ranged from $2,500 to $4,500 per student and this cycle’s recipients are planning to travel to Panama, Barbados, Thailand, Spain, and Australia.

"We are excited to see what these incredible students do with their well-deserved aid," said Pascale Parker, director of Education Abroad. "This award reflects their academic prowess and the university's support for expanding Aggies’ access to international education."

The Gilman Scholarship provides students with more than financial support. It aims to empower students to hone important skills like intercultural communication and global awareness. These skills are vital to advancement in today’s multicultural and interconnected world.

Since the program began, Texas A&M has consistently ranked among the top institutions for producing Gilman Scholars, a testament to the university’s unwavering support for students’ desire for global education and experiences.
