(4) All Applicants Must Be Present
All applicants must be present for a passport. It is optimal if you type and print your application to avoid errors that will need correction and cause delays
(5) Avoid Scams
Do NOT pay online services to complete passport forms. Use the official U.S. government site for FREE form fillers.
Do NOT pay online for DS-11 processing. There is no option for online payment for this.
(6) Hand Carry/Courier Applications
Hand-carry or courier passport applications are NOT accepted unless travel is within 2 weeks (or 4 weeks with a visa). Only U.S. Department of State–registered courier companies are permitted.
