About the Medallion
Honoring Your Global Contributions
The Global Aggie Medallion is a piece of graduation regalia available at no cost to any graduating student who has participated in international activities or engaged with our office in meaningful ways. By receiving this medallion, students can highlight their commitment to fostering an internationally aware community during their time at Texas A&M University.
The Design
Launched in the fall of 2024, the medallion signifies our students' commitment to creating a global community that fosters intercultural knowledge and competence both domestically and abroad. The blue ribbon represents Earth as a "blue planet" filled with water that flows all around our continents. This connection of water and land is symbolized by the ribbon attaching to the medallion and leads to the globe in the center which reminds us that we are all part of one world community.
