Countries I Have Visited:
I've had the privilege of being able to travel to over a dozen countries, but the places that are most special to me are the British Virgin Islands and Tanzania. I was raised in the BVI and I studied abroad as a Boren Scholar for a year in Tanzania. Because of community I was able to build there, going back always feels a little like going home.
Biography:
My background is in Political Science and International Development, with a focus on East Africa. As a Fulbright and Boren Alum, I'm extremely passionate about global engagement and the importance of allowing yourself the freedom to change during/following an international experience. I am fluent in Swahili, avidly play The Sims, and love a really good book (currently reading: John Steinbeck's "East of Eden").
