The Department of Global Engagement is pleased to announce the appointment of Pascale Parker as Director of Education Abroad beginning May 1. Pascale has been serving as the interim director since January.

As director, Parker will guide the Education Abroad team to develop, enhance, and expand global opportunities for Texas A&M University students. Parker will work collaboratively across the institution and beyond to cement Education Abroad as the national leader in international education.

Parker has worked in Education Abroad at Texas A&M since 2007, helping to triple the number of faculty-led abroad programs. Prior to coming to Texas A&M, Parker also worked at West Virginia University, Vanderbilt, and the University of Florida. She is a seasoned professional within international programs and has more than 20 years of experience in higher education administration.

“I am excited to continue facilitating life-changing experiences that broaden horizons, deepen understanding and inspire a new generation of global citizens in this new role,” Parker said. “And I look forward to leading a very talented group of professionals who are passionate about international education and who have set the bar for other institutions to follow.”

A native of France, Parker studied International Business and Applied Languages at the University of Burgundy in Dijon. As a student, she studied abroad in England and interned in Spain. Pascale is the recipient of numerous awards including the President’s Meritorious Service Individual Award in 2017 and the Team Award in 2021.

“Pascale’s longevity in the field and at Texas A&M make her a great fit to lead this unit in the post-pandemic era,” said Dr. Holly Hudson, Associate Vice President for Global Engagement and Senior International Officer. “Her extensive experience and passion for international education will further enhance our commitment to providing transformative global learning opportunities for our students."
