BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, June 28, 2024 – Dr. Glynn Lunney, University Distinguished Professor and associate dean for faculty research and development at Texas A&M University School of Law, has received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award in Economics for the 2024-25 academic year. Lunney will be teaching a course at Hanken School of Economics in Finland on the management of intellectual property assets and researching how the copyright system distributes revenue and royalties to various actors in the ecosystem for creative authorship.

"We couldn't be more excited about Dr. Glynn Lunney's participation in the Fulbright program,” said Robert B. Ahdieh, Vice President for Professional Schools & Programs at Texas A&M University. “Not only as a reflection of his immense capacity and impact as a scholar but also as further indication of the unprecedented increase in scholarly impact that Texas A&M School of Law has experienced the last few years."

Fulbright U.S. Scholars are faculty, researchers, administrators and established professionals teaching or conducting research in affiliation with institutes abroad. Fulbright Scholars engage in research and expand their professional networks, often continuing research collaborations started abroad and laying the groundwork for forging future partnerships between institutions. More than 800 individuals teach or conduct research abroad through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program annually.

Since 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided over 400,000 talented and accomplished students, scholars, teachers, artists and professionals of all backgrounds with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research abroad. Fulbrighters exchange ideas, build people-to-people connections and work to address complex global challenges. Texas A&M faculty who are interested in applying for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, visit the Fulbright Scholar Program website or contact Traci Lacy at tlacy@tamu.edu.
