Please contact the Soltis Center to request a reservation using the Reservation form and Price Quote. Group leader sign this to confirm understanding of prices and desire to hold a space at the posted prices.

The Soltis Center uses information in the Reservation form and Price Quote to create a Program Itinerary and Cost Estimate with prices and dates specific to each individual/group program. This is signed by the Director of the Center, and the participating group leader/researcher OR the person designated to sign on behalf of that person (e.g., a department head for a TAMU faculty member) to show agreement with the costs for the program. It has the final cost, which includes VAT. Once signed, this will constitute an agreement on the price and serves as the basis for payment.

Payment is transferred based on the process outlined in the Reservation Form and Price Quote document (50% by 60 days before the program starts and 50% by 30 days before the program starts). This is sent directly to the Costa Rican bank except in cases when the Academic Affairs Business Service of Texas A&M University may work with a school to transfer funds to TAMU first and then to Costa Rica if that school cannot create international wire transfers.

The Soltis Center must issue these to the programs within 3 days of receiving the payments.  Every business in Costa Rica is required to record transactions and provide these invoices through the government’s electronic, online system.  The receipts are a critical part of their tax reporting system.  For any not issued or obtained from group leaders from vendors they take groups to, the Soltis Center pays a penalty on annual taxes.

Fifteen days prior to arrival the OGC TAMU/Soltis Center waiver forms and other information are sent to the group leader/individual.  Completed forms must be obtained prior to the start of the program.

Any change to the itinerary and balance due are to be complete before the program arrives the Soltis Center.
